Chris Fredericks

President & CEO

Chris Fredericks founded Empowered Ventures, serves as President & CEO, and is a member of the Board of Directors. Chris has a diverse background in management, accounting and finance, business valuations, mergers and acquisitions, operations, strategic planning, and supporting and developing people.

In 2010, he proposed and led the acquisition of TVF on behalf of the employees using an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), creating a successful ownership transition for the founder. After a decade of success as an employee-owned company, TVF established Empowered Ventures and became the flagship operating company.

Chris is a graduate of Indiana University Bloomington’s Kelley School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. A former CPA, Chris started his career in public accounting before joining TVF in 2005. He served in various positions including Chief Financial Officer, before serving as President from April 2010 to March 2021. During his leadership tenure, TVF developed a flourishing employee ownership culture, modernized its technology, entered new markets, acquired Pacific Coast Fabrics, and doubled revenue and tripled profits.

With his 20+ years of experience, Chris tries to lead with a balanced focus on short-term goals and long-term objectives. His drive for continuous improvement and strategic growth, balanced with a deep care for fostering people-oriented cultures and shared financial success, sets Empowered Ventures’ companies apart.
